A taste of True Paradise: Ko Samui, Thailand

Hey Guys:

I know it been a minute since we last blog-it feels like forever-but we didn't forget about you all...
Today is the second day on the island of Ko Samui. Currently, it's 7pm December 30, 2009. Today has been an adventure and there's so much STUFF that we want to share with you guys, but so little time. First, our resort is really cute and intimate we know all the staff and they know and LOVE us! The girls at the front Pin, Tang and Bing are the sweetest and have been enjoying us as much as we are enjoying them. We've even adopted a taxi driver name Bob that takes us everywhere; he's the best! He gives us that true native experience; by making what we call "bob stops" where he'll make a stop at a store to get cigs, get gas or takes us on an unscheduled tour of one of the beach's as he take us to/from our designations.

We had breakfast at the resort this morning and I got the bright idea to rent motor scooters and head to Chaweng Beach; which is suppose to be the "it" beach. Kema wasn't to keen on the moter scooter idea (her face spoke a thousand words), but I convinced her that it would be FUN, an ADVENTURE and EXCITING and she caved and wanted to rent a scooter too, but our girls at the front said "ABSOLUTELY NOT"! they could see the fear in her eyes!!! Being the sales lady that I am, I was able to easily connivance them of my driving skill'...Our Taxi driver Bob took me about 1.5 miles down the road to pick up the scooter...okay let me back up...I've NEVER, EVER driven a scooter, but the Arien in me said "you can do it, how hard can it be?!?". The short version of the story is that we ended up taking a taxi and that's all you'll be getting out of me. LOL!!!

Chaweng Beach was simply the most beautiful beach; pure bliss. When Kema and I walked on the beach I secretly thought of you guys and wished I could transport you all here. Hopefully, after reading the bolg you will be inspired...

Okay....gotta get ready to head out for dinner and drink in Bo Phut beach. Sending lots of luv ur way.....we'll keep you posted...two fingers!

  1. I know what you mean by "wished I could transport you here", the sights are just breathtaking and like nothing you could experience back home. I also know what you mean by the scooters...just hope no bruising or accidents occurred. I'm keeping track of you until Monday by this blog so you better keep posting and...how 'bout some pictures already??
